Be sure to identify yourself as an IEEE/ION PLANS meeting participant to receive special conference rates of $199 single/double per night (inclusive of a $10 per night resort fee*).

Government Rate Reservations: A limited number of government rated rooms will be available at the prevailing federal per diem rate for those U.S. government employees, traveling on government travel orders and paying for the room with a U.S. issued government credit card. Failure to pay for the room with a U.S. government issued credit card will result in your reservation being honored at the group rate. Government contractors not traveling with a government travel orders are not eligible for this rate. Please note that a nightly resort fee* of $10 per night will be added to the per diem rate and should be reimbursable by your agency.

*Resort Fee: Includes in-room bottled water, local phone calls and a $5 food and beverage credit per night that may be used in the hotel’s restaurants/bar.

Parking at the hotel is complimentary. In room T-Mobile internet is $10 per day.

Transportation:

The Hyatt Regency Monterey is five minutes from the Monterey Airport; 117 miles from San Francisco Airport and 70 miles from San Jose Airport.

Car Rental: We recommend you rent a car in Monterey as taxicabs are not readily available and the Hyatt is not within walking distance of a central retail/restaurant area. Parking at the hotel is complimentary.

Driving Directions:

From Monterey Airport (1 ½ miles): Exit the airport onto Olmstead Rd. Turn right on Garden Rd. At the end of Garden Rd., turn left onto Mark Thomas Dr. Hotel is located on the left. At the next stoplight turn left onto Old Golf Course Rd.

From San Francisco or San Jose (traveling South on Highway 101): From 101 South, take the 156 West exit in the Prunedale area, just north of Salinas. Stay on 156 West for six miles until you reach Highway 1. Take Highway 1 South for 13.2 miles, and then take the Monterey exit. The ramp drops onto Fremont Street, turn left onto Aguajito Road. At the second signal light, turn left onto Mark Thomas Drive and turn right into the hotel driveway. Follow the driveway up the hill, and then veer right towards the Registration/Lobby area.
